Solution
Koha Cloud
Hosted Koha, without the server room
A complete library management system on our infrastructure. Cataloging, circulation, acquisitions, serials, reports and a public catalog — running the day you sign up, with backups, updates and support handled for you.
The platform
What you get
A complete library system
Cataloging, holdings, circulation, holds, fines, acquisitions, serials, reports and course reserves — the full workflow, not a cut-down hosted edition.
A public catalog on your own subdomain
Patrons search, place holds, keep reading lists and manage their account on a catalog branded as yours, with themes you control.
MARC21 and Z39.50
Standards-compliant cataloging with copy cataloging from remote catalogs, batch MARC import and configurable frameworks.
AI where it helps
Natural-language catalog search and AI-assisted cataloging, built in rather than bolted on.
Consortium ready
Group libraries into a union catalog with shared search and inter-library loans. Branch and sub-library hierarchies are first-class.
Maintained for you
Hosting, backups, updates, monitoring and support are ours. There is no server for your team to look after.
Managed, not just hosted
What managed Koha hosting includes
Renting a virtual machine moves where the hardware lives and changes nothing else — every software responsibility stays yours. These are the ones that become ours.
The server and its operating system
Provisioned, sized for your collection, patched and monitored. Nobody on your staff needs a login to it.
Koha kept on a supported version
Upgrades planned and rehearsed rather than deferred until something forces them. Being three versions behind is how most self-hosted catalogs end up stuck.
Backups you keep your own copy of
Automated, held off the server, and downloadable by you without asking us. Restores are tested, not assumed.
Mail that arrives
SMTP with SPF, DKIM and DMARC on the sending domain, and notice templates tested against a real inbox — the most common reason notices "stop working".
HTTPS and certificate renewal
On both the public catalog and the staff interface, renewed automatically. A staff login over plain HTTP is a credential leak.
Scheduled jobs with a readable run history
Fines, overdues, the message queue and the holds queue, with a per-library record — so "why did this change?" has an answer.
Who it is for
Koha server hosting for libraries of any size
A single library with no IT department
The common case. Nobody on staff wants the server, and hiring for it is not realistic — so the catalog quietly becomes whoever is most technical that year.
A multi-branch college or university
Branches, pickup locations and circulation rules per branch, with one catalog behind them and one place to administer it.
A consortium sharing one catalog
Member libraries keep their own records and staff while patrons search across all of them, with inter-library requests between members.
Would rather run it on your own server? That is a real choice and sometimes the right one — our installation service sets it up on your hardware, and the step-by-step guide shows you how to do it yourself.
