Koha Hosting, Migration and Support for Libraries in the USA and Canada

For school, academic, public and special libraries that want Koha without running a server. We migrate your records, host and upgrade Koha, and train your staff.

What we hear

The problems libraries here bring us

“Our library system contract is up for renewal and the price keeps rising.”
“We run Koha ourselves and nobody has time to upgrade or test the backups.”
“Our branches are in two time zones, and due dates come out wrong for one of them.”
“The self-check machines and RFID gates must keep working after any change.”

How we set it up

Configured for where your library is

Whether we install a new Koha, migrate you onto one, host it, or support the Koha you already run.

1

Your records, moved and reconciled

MARC21 bibliographic and item records, patrons, open loans and fines, moved from your current system with test loads and a reconciliation report before go-live.

2

Every time zone, even within one system

From America/St_Johns (UTC−3:30) to Pacific/Honolulu, and America/Phoenix with no summer time. Each library is set to its own zone, so a group of libraries across zones still gets correct due dates.

3

Your equipment keeps working

SIP2 connections to existing self-check kiosks and RFID gates, Z39.50 copy cataloguing from the Library of Congress and other catalogues, and English and French interfaces where you need them.

FAQ

What libraries in the region ask us

Can you migrate us from our current library system?

Yes. Bibliographic and item records, patrons, open loans, holds and fines are moved with test loads and a reconciliation report before go-live, and the exceptions are documented rather than hidden.

Will our self-check machines and RFID gates still work?

If they speak SIP2, which most do, yes. We connect and test each one before go-live, and keep the configuration documented.

How is it priced?

Koha Cloud's Basic plan has a published price in US dollars, the same in every country, with the first three months free. Support, migration and training for a Koha you run yourself are quoted.
